This website was created to document the radical shift at Ashland United Church of Christ, brought on by the arrival of Rev. Christina Kukuk to Ashland in 2016. Because Daniel and I were her scapegoats and she lied about us at every opportunity, we were uniquely qualified to see the radical shift to bad faith that took over Ashland UCC, when Rev. Kukuk descended. We observed that contact with Rev. Kukuk brought out the worst in everyone she communicated with.
It was truly sickening to lay out all the documents on this site. I spent months, several hours a day wading through the deceitful and misleading messages left by Rev. Kukuk, the unholy council and her many willing accomplices.
What I learned from Rev. Kukuk is that she is thoroughly dishonest. She has created a weaponized ministry and that she uses peoples’ faith against them. Rev. Kukuk’s employment as a minister at Ashland UCC is a damn shame.
Since publishing this site, I don’t spend much time thinking about what the church or Rev. Kukuk are doing. I honestly don’t want to think about them. Horrible vibration! As a group, they wrestled the holy principles out of the church and unconsciously chose as their mission, to elevate a couple of slandering bullies (Rev. Christina and Brad Roupp). It’s just dark and sad. Not the kind of news anyone goes to church for.
Also, ultimately, I don’t think dark spirits like Rev. Kukuk are heading anywhere worthy of going. Whatever is left of the church is following her, but she is all about deception. She has created a cloud of lies around what was once a decent church. She has created enemies out of volunteers and torn the faith community (in the photo) apart so as to wrap it around her ever-aggrandizing self. Ashland UCC doesn’t even support their own motto since 2016. That church and Rev. Kukuk only have ultimate disappointment and humiliation to look forward to, when enough of her followers wake up and realize she has been lying from the beginning.
This week, because I am aware that the Associate Pastor, Paula Sohl left her employment at the church, I was curious. I wanted to see what was plainly visible to the world through their revamped website. Until this week I had not looked into the site past the home page, because the home page itself makes me cringe and shudder. Of course the motto of the church: “All Are Welcome” is emblazoned at the top of the home page, which is not at all true at Ashland UCC since Rev. Kukuk arrived (in 2016). Also the tag line that begins every service: “No matter who, no matter what, no matter where you are on life’s journey you are invited and welcome.”
Also, not true.
Having attended UCC churches for 10 years and hearing that line repeated every week, I was led to believe that there was something reliable about their inclusive language, the words state that the church is committed to all people “no matter what”.
In reality: Not at all true.
The theme of Ashland UCC’s new website is also there at the top of the home page: “led by Rev. Christina Kukuk”. The website is committed to lifting Rev. Kukuk up. There are links to her sermons at the bottom of every page.
At the top of the home page, there are several categories.
Under “Get Involved”, there is a long drop down menu.
The photo at the top of this post is what I found when I clicked on the tab “Children and Youth Team”! A multigenerational group shot of a happy congregation all gathered around Rev. Pam Shepherd at Church Camp in 2012. Slandered and exiled L Citizen is in the photo!
Moi!?!
This photo under the heading “Children and Youth Team” leads me back around to the same issue that is the focus of this entire website. Rev. Christina Kukuk is thoroughly dishonest.
I understand that finding a group shot of happy people surrounding Rev. Kukuk is a monumental challenge. There are at least 13 people in that photo who no longer have anything to do with Ashland UCC. Besides me, one of them is dead, two left employment, three moved across the country, at least three disavowed the church in 2016. That is a photo of the faith community that Rev. Kukuk eviscerated in 2016.
I fully realize Rev. Kukuk doesn’t want to have a photo of what’s really going on in “downstairs church” these days. But that is not an adequate excuse to ever label that photo “Children and Youth Team”, let alone claim that image portrays anything current at the church “led by Rev. Christina Kukuk”.
It is simply dishonest and obviously, intentionally, so.
I’m sure this photo was Rev. Kukuk’s choice. It is there because she is shamelessly dishonest. She is shameless because so many have gone along with her outrageous deceit thus far, which includes the administrators of the national United Church of Christ.
So what if Rev. Christina Kukuk is a liar?
As it turns out, no one at “The Church” cares.
Look at the attached photo from 2012, a big, happy group around Rev. Pam Shepherd.
Surely if someone were researching a church, they would hope that the church website would present a trustworthy message. But there is nothing trustworthy at Ashland UCC since 2016: “led by Rev. Christina Kukuk”.
A damn shame.
